The November 1st meeting was the official visit of David Van Note, the District Deputy Grand Master. He and Grand Sword Bearer Edwin Ardenski inspected the records of the lodge and found all in order. He delivered the Grand Master’s message and invited is staff officers to address the lodge on topics like community service, membership retention, the Brotherhood Fund, educational opportunities that are available and a new endowment fund being established to help Masons in financial straits meet their dues obligations. When the fund reaches $1-million, it will be matched by the Trustees of the Masonic Home. The next meeting is November 15.
The Special Communication scheduled for November 15, for the conferral of the First Degree on Robert Yacone, has been canceled. The petition of Robert Yacone has been resubmitted to the investigating committee for further review. Once the investigation is complete and returned to the lodge for balloting, we will keep all informed.
