Summary 10-4-07 meeting
The 39th meeting of Erie Parish United Lodge #161 took place on October 4, 2007 in the Cheektowaga Masonic Center. With a First Degree coming up at the October 18th meeting, Victor Rodriguez, who will conferring the degree, announced he was still in need of Brothers to participate and several volunteered.
The Master of the Lodge also noted that the Pillars of Masonry, (the Masters and Wardens Association) was looking for volunteers to assist with a 3rd degree at Highland Ely Park Lodge on October 224th. Volunteers should contact one of the Wardens from the Lodge.
The Master also urged the members to invest at least 8 hours a month in Masonic activities such as The Road to the East and the School on Instruction or in community work where they can be an example of Masonry in action.
The Franklin A. Hahn Scholarship for education was awarded to Daniel DiNatale. He is the 49th recipient. The scholarship has distributed over $23,000 to members, their children or grandchildren.
